Further to this Information Update issued on April 7, members are reminded that they are required to commence discussions about scheduling offices (or strike headquarters per the union) if they have not already done so. Although the scheduling office information is not entered into the essential services database and is not included in the Order issued by the Labour Relations Board (LRB), an agreement on this matter is needed.
For guidance on scheduling offices please refer to pages 12 to 15 of this Backgrounder, as well as your agency’s 2022 scheduling office agreement. Note: Since scheduling office agreements are not included in the Order issued by the LRB, CSSEA does not have a copy of your 2022 scheduling office agreement.
For BCGEU certified agencies, CSSEA and BCGEU agreed to use this form.
Agreements on scheduling offices must be reached by no later than September 26. Please send agreements to Vangie Johnson, HRLR Executive Assistant, when they have been signed by all parties.
If agreements are not reached, it will be rostered for mediation at the LRB between October 20 and 24. You will receive your mediation date/time on October 11. We strongly encourage the parties to continue their local-level discussions before the mediation. Note: You will be billed for the mediation if it is not cancelled within 48 hours of your scheduled mediation date/time.
To prepare for the mediation, members must provide their Advocate/Consultant detailed information outlining the precise areas still in dispute.
We urge you to make scheduling office negotiations a top priority. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this matter. If you have any questions about the process, please contact your CSSEA Advocate/Consultant.
