CSSEA invites members and associates to register now for the 2025 AGM and Conference, taking place October 8-10 at the Delta Hotels Grand Okanagan Resort in Kelowna. This year’s event is entitled Sparking Innovation and will explore a variety of topics intended to ignite bold thinking and transformative change across the sector.
With leadership from the AGM Member Planning Committee, this year’s conference will explore topics like how AI can empower non-profits, rethinking psychological health and safety in the workplace and new ways to embrace Truth and Reconciliation. We are pleased to feature Joyce Leppington from the Musqueam and Sts'ailes Nations to deliver this year’s keynote on how leaders can consider their role in reconciliation and action positive change in their work and communities.
CSSEA will be holding its Annual General Meeting on October 8, following Divisional Sessions that will take place earlier that same afternoon. Members who are attending the AGM are also required to register for their respective Divisional Session.
There will be one upcoming vacancy on the General Services panel. If you are interested in submitting your name as a candidate and are a board member, owner or senior management employee (that is, one of the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Director, or equivalent), please indicate your interest by submitting a Candidate Form. We remind all AGM attendees that only member owners, Executive Directors or CEOs may vote.
Attendees who register for either the full conference or Thursday package will also have the opportunity to attend the 10th anniversary Community Social Services Awards of Excellence Luncheon, sponsored by TELUS (It is also possible to purchase single tickets to the luncheon). We look forward to sharing the stories of four new outstanding individuals with all attendees on October 9.
We encourage members to register by August 15 to take advantage of preferential early bird pricing and to secure first pick of sessions.
