2016 COMPENSATION AND EMPLOYEE TURNOVER SURVEY

The 2016 Compensation and Employee Turnover Survey will be available for members to complete on February 15, 2016.

It is very important that all members complete the survey this year. Your data will be used to report the sector’s total compensation base to the Public Sector Employers’ Council.

Data collected in the 2016 Compensation and Employee Turnover Survey will also support the implementation of the 2014-2019 collective agreements and will inform the allocation of the more than $30 million of comparability/anomaly funds and the review of the JJEP classification. CSSEA will also use the data to produce annual reports on the sector, which will be available to all members.

Members have until May 31, 2016 to submit the survey through the following options:

1) The Excel Survey which is the recommended method for most members.

2) The Work Force Information System (WFIS) where data can be entered directly online or can be copied from last year’s survey then edited online.

User Guide

To assist members in the completion of the survey through the different entry methods, CSSEA has developed the Survey User Guide. The Survey User Guide will also be available download in the CSSEA website on February 15, 2016.

The guide provides an overview of the data requirements, instructions on how to enter data and provides answers to commonly asked questions from last year.

A series of orientation sessions have been scheduled across the province to help members become familiar with the survey and WFIS.

Confidentiality

All data collected is processed according to CSSEA’s strict confidentiality policy. Only aggregate data is presented and agency-specific data is not be shared with government, funding agencies or third parties without the prior consent of members.
